In an age where the internet is saturated with a plethora of Youtube personalities and self-made talk shows, one particular show stands out from the rest. Two self-proclaimed “wild girls” have created an entire online “wild” alliance of women and men, young and old frankly discussing and sharing their experiences, their take on social issues, and their own personal issues, on the blog and video series ThoseGirlsAreWild.com. Created by lifelong friends and co-wild girls; Shannon Boodram; a TV personality and author of LAID a nonfiction anthology on sexual education, and Andrea Lewis; actress, singer and songwriter, (you might recognize her as Hazel the TV personality from the Canadian hit television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.) As a fan and fellow “wild girl” I got the opportunity to discuss with Shannon and Andrea what a “wild girl” is to them, who they are, what they do and why they thought it was important to create TGAW.
